  2. TVA stands for Tamil Virtual Academy. TVA was established as Tamil Virtual University as per the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act and functioning under the administrative control of the Information Technology Department. TVU was renamed as Tamil Virtual Academy (TVA) on 16th July 2010. The main aim of the TVA is to provide Tamil education through internet for the Tamil Diaspora and to promote Tamil Computing. The Certificate Courses in Tamil aim at providing the Tamil Language Skills envisaged in the Text books of Tamil Nadu Text Book Society (Govt. of Tamil Nadu, India) for use in classes 1-12 in the schools of Tamil Nadu.

  5. Is TVA and ATA being same?
  6. NO
  1. TVA – Tamil Virtual Academy established in Tamilnadu and the certifications/degrees provided by TVA are valid only in Tamilnadu.

  3. ATA – American Tamil Academy
  4. ATA is a non-profit organization founded for Tamil Language education and other closely allied purposes. ATA is a truly secular Tamil language education organization that is independent of religion, country, caste, political party and any other similar identities. ATA shall coordinate Tamil Schools being run in USA, create online and print resources for learning Tamil language, spearhead efforts to get state level accreditation for school credits but shall not be limited to solely for these specific purposes.

  6. YES. Exton Tamil Palli conducts 3 exams (3 trimesters) in an academic year and which is mandatory for all the students.

  2. No. Registration details will be shared later by TAGDV.
